Isha אישה Female
The female is a supernatural body that God chose to bring life through and into the world. He chose to make us in such a way that our body would morph and stretch itself to fit however many babies were placed inside of our womb. And he himself would form and knit together both male and female inside us.
God surely could have had Jesus miraculously appear in the world or birthed in some different way but he chose to place him inside the womb of a woman. He thought a woman was worthy and fitting to be the hosting body of life and the life of his very own son, Jesus Christ.
Proverbs 14:1 says, “The wisest of women builds her house, but folly with her own hands tears it down.” I believe this scripture is so important for us to take a minute, be still and think about. We have the power to build or tear down our homes. The Lord gives us that authority. We carry the authority to change the atmosphere of our homes, we can shift it into holy ground and a sancuary of peace. We cry out to dry ground and demand it to bring forth water. Again and again, we cry out not wavering in faith because we know freedom and healing are here inside us. I believe women have a spiritual anointing.
According to Greenwich Time, rabbinic bias is toward the mother as "primary" parent. Male rabbis, throughout the centuries, stood in awe as their wives nurtured life within their wombs for nine months. Both equal but separate. The Greenwich Time also states, “the importance of mother, along with father, also extended to biblical and rabbinic theology in how we understand God's gender attributes. God is both Mother and Father. The Bible often notes the "children of Israel," and God is often understood as Parent; sometimes mother, sometimes father.”
We are the earth side mirroring God’s feminine attributes. If we see through this lens, we see how important our role is as women in society. In Genesis 2:18 it says that the Lord saw that it was not good for man to be alone and that he will make a helper for him. The English word ‘helper’ does not translate the full power of the original Hebrew word used, עֵזֶר (ezer) which is a military term. Dr. Eli Lizorkin-Eyzenberg says, “ ezer…connotes an active intervention on behalf of someone…someone who is committed to your well-being to the extent that s/he is willing to die or kill for you.”
In addition, Dr. Lizorkin-Eyzenberg says that Proverbs 31:10 refers to “wisdom personified as woman, calls her a אֵשֶׁת-חַיִל (eshet chayil) “a woman-soldier.” How incredible is that, a woman-soldier. Wives and mothers in Hebrew are called Akeret habayit, the “mainstay” of the home. They quite literally are responsible for creating the character and atmosphere of their home. And in Psalm 46:5 it says that “God is in the midst of her” God is in the middle with us, no matter how hard or overlooked we may feel.
Proverbs 18:22 says, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.” A woman, a bride coming into a man's life carries so much anointing that it actually makes him obtain favor from the Lord - Wow! We need to understand who we are. We need to stop bowing down to fear, lies, and whispers of insecurities. We are women, and it is said that WE, in fact, bring favor to man.
Ladies, let’s walk in our authority and anointing. Let’s make everywhere our feet roam our household (workplace, the streets, the subway, the cafe) in the sense that we can change the atmosphere and confidently know we as women bless this earth as the hosting bodies capable of bringing forth new life not just physically but spiritually.
