Smooth Skin

Does anyone else have keratosis pilaris or is it just me!? Winter months are brutal for my skin. I ride the struggle bus the whole way through dry and cold climates. When I was first diagnosed, the doctor prescribed me a topical cream that I later learned had steroids in it that would gradually thin my skin out. Um, wrinkles…on my arms and legs!? No!

So, I tossed the jar in the bin and decided that I was going to figure out my own path to having smooth skin. I become very careful with what I let touch my skin and even came off dairy for a while. Sadly, the diary free life didn’t help my skin at all but changing the body lotions, scrubs and sunscreens sure did. Up until recently, all the products I used on my body were either CeraVe or Cetaphil products. Both brands do not contain any smell good fragrances and the packaging is depressing but they help keep sensitive skin at bay.

BUT THEN I discovered Avene moisturizing melt-in balm at MedSpa Franklin in Tennessee. Wow, this little gem changed the game. The bottom line is that it works better than all previous body lotion products. Not only does it work better but it smells heavenly and is super lightweight. It is also infused with rose, jasmine, and bergamot so basically it smells like angels. It is also more lightweight than CeraVe body lotion which I was previously extremely loyal too. The Avene balm has done more than just keep my skin at bay, it has made it soft and hydrated.
