Just Breathe

Peace, oh to have peace fresh and anew each morning. The world's best-kept secret is that we actually can have that! I believe peace is not just a choice but a constant and repetitive choice. It is one of the smallest keys needed to unlocking life that we completely over complicate.

Peace is when our soul receives wellness and rest. Choosing peace is choosing to elevate our thoughts above this earth and let them rest in heavenly spaces. Circumstance, situations and daily lives should not determine our peace. Peace does not fix the world around us but it believes that despite the world around us, all will be well. Where we are now, is not where we are going.

There are dark principalities in this world that do not want us to have peace. They don’t want us to unlock our brains to a state of constant bliss and true reality of freedom and hope. In fact, the principalities strive to attack our peace, that is why it is important to anchor ourselves in something deeper than what our earthly vision can see.

Some of the physical ways I seek to find peace are by focusing on my breathing. I watch as my chest goes up and down, a clear indication of life. I remind myself that I am physically present with air in my lungs. I remind myself that here right now is not always how I perceive it. Here can also be heaven.

Breathing is essential, powerful and when done correctly, effective in improving health. Most of us don’t breathe properly. Deep breathes have been known to manage gut issues, depression, anxiety, and sleeplessness. Taking deep breaths helps relax the body, lower cortisol, heart rate, and blood pressure. It is also a coping mechanism for PTSD.

When you take a deep breath in through your nose, the stomach should expand and tighten as you exhale. Someone once told to picture all the negativity in my thoughts as trash bags, absolute garbage. In my mind, I tie them up with big yellow tags and throw them in the bin as I exhale.

As I exhale, I picture heaven pouring into my body. Meditating on this brings my body into alignment with the Holy Spirit and release sets in. Freedom, hope, love, and my true reality of a loving Savior.
